PromptRefine does not collect, store, or sell your personal information. We do not ask for your name or email, we do not track your browsing history, and we do not access your private data.
When you click the "Refine" button, the text currently in your chat input is sent to our secure server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and then to a trusted third-party AI provider, solely to generate an improved prompt. This text is used only for that purpose and is not stored on our servers after the request is completed.
To understand overall usage and improve the product, we record anonymous, aggregated statistics for each refine: which refine mode was used, whether it succeeded, which AI provider answered, which supported site it was used on, and the length of the prompt (a number only). We do not store the content of your prompts, and these statistics contain no personal information and cannot be linked to you.
Your selected refine mode, your recent refine history, and any prompts you star or save are stored locally in your own browser (using chrome.storage.local) on your device. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
We use trusted AI API providers to help generate the refined prompt. They receive only the specific prompt being refined and do not have access to your identity or any other data.
PromptRefine operates only on the following AI chat websites: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Microsoft Copilot. It does not run on any other website.
